two weeks later, bandages free, Otis is finally ready for some car action. Not use to seeing him this skinny but we know that wont last long. Just glad he’s full on PUG once again.

My poor buddy Otis had to get an operation yesterday for the removal of two mast cell tumors. Both large tumors but were caught early enough in stage one. Since Otis is 5 years old and quite strong they recommended the procedure without any concerns. However during the actual procedure the surgeon called to inform us that he didn’t react well to the sedation. In fact he was turning purple so they needed to insert a tube to help him breath. The surgeon suggested to remove his soft palate to further open is passage ways. We agreed, they finished things up and thankfully Otis came out ok. With two large incisions and plenty of meds to keep his head in the clouds we were able to finally take him home.

NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. When he first saw me at the door he tried to jump up in my lap like normal but he didn’t have the strength. He looked so sad.

NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH: back leg (first pic) upper right shoulder (2nd pic). The incision under the purple wrap is so large I can only show this tiny portion. Once we got him home he was at least able to start feeling more comfortable. The first thing he did was go right to the treat cabinet. He’ll be getting more bandages off soon and I’ll post more pics.

Got this sweet invite from the last of Kaws’s solo exhibitions ending at Honor Fraser in LA. Each invite came with a color variant of the kaws head similar to the ones shipped with the B&H Skull Kuns. I got the purple one seen below.

Rounding up his east coast – west coast tour, Kaws received some real nice TV coverage last Sunday on CBS news. Check out the full segment here…
